The Trade Compliance Analyst manages WPGA’s international trade compliance processes working with several internal groups as well as outside partners and government agencies to track and ensure compliance with international regulations and increase efficiency in cross-border operations. The Analyst makes decisions and guides others at WPGA to understand and satisfy the intricacies of import and export compliance.

• BS or BA degree (or equivalent work experience) plus 3-4 years of experience working with US regulations governing imports and exports
  (including but not limited to EAR, OFAC, US Customs) with an importer/exporter or service provider
• Microsoft Office skills required with strong Excel skills preferred
• Customs Brokerage License or Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) a plus, but not required
• Global logistics or supply chain experience a plus
• Ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively
• Detailed oriented and highly organized; ability to multi-task several projects at once
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, judgment, creativity, flexibility, and excellent motivation

Job Description
• Assist with assignment of trade classification for export (ECCN) and import (Harmonized Tariff Schedule – HTS)
• Understand product portfolio, brands, suppliers, Country of Origin (COO) ship & debit model
• Serve as internal resource for information requests regarding import/export compliance
• Assist with maintenance of import/export standard work and controls and collaborate with team members to drive trade compliance solutions for efficiency
• Analyze company tariff management and provide strategies for optimization; including cost management and customer billing
• Work with cross functional groups to obtain information necessary for the export/import process and respond to broker inquiries
• Monitor timeliness and accuracy of customs entries and releases and filings; conduct auditing
• Provides financial analysis/reconciliation of trade compliance cost
• Conducts carrier analysis regarding freight charges to ensure costs are best-in-class
• Conducts freight broker analysis re charge analysis to ensure costs are best-in-class
• Coordinate with broker to ensure timely filing of any required post summary corrections or protests
• Monitor and guide FTZ scrap management process to ensure compliance with customs requirements
• Ensure import/export record management is maintained in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Design and Conduct Trade Compliance training
• Collect, enter, and present data using spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software
• Perform project management support tasks to enable delivery of team assignments and objectives
• Develop and Maintain HTS database
• Liaise with Customs and Borders Protection (CBP), other government agencies, and brokers
• Action and respond to all CBP requests i.e. CF28/CF29
